One of many services that we offer to our clients. If you need help we are here to help you. With designer knowledge but not the designer prices.

Boost Curb Appeal

Many people thinking of buying or renting your home will do a quick drive-by first, deciding on the spot if it is even worth a look inside. Make sure your home is ready to lure in potential buyers or renters.
  • Power wash siding and walkways
  • Fresh tar and sealant on driveway (If needed)
  • Hang easy-to-read house numbers
  • Plant blooming flowers and fresh greenery or tidy up what's already there.
  • Mow lawn, and reseed or add fresh sod as needed
  • Wash front windows. Washing all windows (even better).
  • Repaint or stain the porch floor as needed
  • Wash and/or paint the front door (Fresh & Crisp)
  • Welcome visitors with an inviting porch. Even if you have only a tiny stoop, make it say “welcome home” with a clean doormat, potted plants in bloom and if you have room maybe one or two pieces of neat porch furniture. Keep your porch lights on in the evenings, in case potential buyers/renters drive by. Illuminating the front walk with solar lights is a nice extra touch, especially if you will be showing the house during the evening. We can help you with this.

Neutralize Your Paint Colours

Some of us like to use bold, bright paint colours on our walls. There is nothing wrong with that if your are the one living there. If it's a feature wall (One wall in a room) then sometimes it can work. Depending on the colour. If you are planning to sell or rent your space then it isn't such a good idea to have those types colours on the wall. When a potential buyer or renter is coming to view the space they should be able to imagine themselves there. This feeling of belonging in the space is more likely to happen when there are more neutral colours.

So, you might want to rethink those pinks, purples and oranges because less is more. If your walls and trim are damaged or if you are a smoker then patching and painting should happen.

"New Leaf Cleaning & Design" can help you with painting, wall repairs and colour choices for your home.

Clean! Clean! Clean!

Make sure your house sparkling clean. Shining floors and sparkling windows, clean (stain free) counters and scrubbed grout, every surface should be magnificent. This is the cheapest way to help your home look really great.

Wash the walls if needed.

You may want to hire "New Leaf Cleaning & Design" to do some of the really tough stuff, especially if you have a large house.

Potential buyers/renters do not want to see dust, hair or dirt and it should smell fresh. If you have pets this is important. Most buyers/renters do not want to see or smell your pets.

Clear Away The Clutter!

If you are serious about staging your home, all clutter must go, end of story. Remove all personal items like pictures etc.

Now would be a great time to purge your home of the things you do not want to take with you. Sell it, donate it or simply give it to your friends and family. It’s not easy, and it may even require utilizing offsite storage (or a nice relative’s garage) temporarily, but it is well worth the trouble. Clean and clear surfaces, floors, cupboards and closets give the potential buyer/renter the feeling of more space and it allows them to imagine themselves there without images of you and your stuff getting in the way. Purge anything unnecessary or unsightly.

Create a gender-neutral master bedroom. It doesn't have to be fancy, just clean crisp simple and uncluttered. Put away all of your personal items. You can’t go wrong with clean, crisp linens, a simple art piece and maybe a blanket folded at the foot of the bed.
